Pod názvem SDH (Semiotics Department of Heteronyms) se skrývá v Barceloně žijící elektronické duo, které mixuje opojný koktejl synthpopu, darkwaveu, industriálu, EDM i techna a v některých tracích přiznává inspiraci italo-discem nebo taneční hudbou devadesátých let. Už se svým eponymním debutem z roku 2018 si zajistili možnost koncertovat se etablovanými jmény současné dark/synth popové scény jako Marie Davidson, Molly Nilsson nebo Merchandise. Ještě před prvním lockdownem stihli nahrát svůj druhý počin, EP 'Against Strong Thinking' a odjet s ním alespoň část plánovaného evropského turné. Letos na něj navázali EP 'Maybe A Body' (Avant!), na kterém se podílel losangeleský producent Matia Simovich (Body Of Light, Riki, SRSQ). Na album přispěli dvěma dancefloor remixy berlínští Djs Phase Fatale a Pablo Bozzi.

Italský, v Londýně žijící sólový umělec a multiinstrumentalista Jack Milwaukee aka M!R!M přijíždí do Underdogs' s novou, v pořadí čtvrtou deskou 'Time Triator' (Avant!). Její retro-futuristický sound z M!R!M dělá cestovatele časem, který se nechává inspirovat klasikami synth popu a dark i cold wave a album nenápadně prošpikovává různými hudebními odkazy. Milwaukee na desce vykresluje svou imaginární verzi osmdesátek, rozmlžené vzpomínky z dětství i zcela smyšlené a přitom povědomé světy. Celé to vypadá, jako by posílal v láhvi melancholický vzkaz z paralelního vesmíru.

SDH is change, alteration, distortion, metamorphosis. Its synth-pop songs, peppered with EBM and techno, are mysterious, obtuse and suggestive. The Barcelona-based duo aroused international critical and public interest with their debut, Semiotics Department Of Heteronyms (Avant! Records, 2018), an album that allowed them to perform their first concerts throughout Europe and Canada and share the stage with artists such as Marie Davidson, Molly Nilsson or Merchandise, to name a few.
Before the first lockdown, the duo managed to record their second - EP 'Against Strong Thinking' and finish at least part of their planned European tour. This year, they followed it up with the EP 'Maybe A Body' (Avant!) on which they work together with LA-based producer Matia Simovich (Body Of Light, Riki, SRSQ). The EP also features dancefloor remixes by two of Berlin's most acclaimed DJs, Phase Fatale and Pablo Bozzi.

Two years and one pandemic after his previous release, the Italian, London-based solo project M!R!M is back with a new full- length album. Inspired by the synth pop classics, as well as from cold and dark waves, multi-instrumentalist Jack Milwaukee has been releasing material on labels such as Fabrika and Manic Depression until his first record on Avant! 'The Visionary' back in 2020. In April this year M!R!M release his fourth LP 'Time Triator'. The new ten recordings from the album dig even deeper than on previous records, drawing the outlines of a fantasy world lost within the foggy memories of a collective childhood. Possibly locked in his bedroom for the necessary time, Milwaukee has been able to recreate an imaginative realm of 80’s FM suggestions, scattering a number of acoustic clues from different parts of this parallel, yet so familiar dimension. It’s almost like M!R!M is sending us a message in a bottle with each of these new tracks. And each message tells a different story.
