INTRODUCING MORE ACTS OF THE XIX. OF THE PRAGUE GOTHIC TREFFEN

It's time to reveal more news about the upcoming edition of PGT.

Almost a quarter of a year has passed since the last Prague Gothic Treffen, with more than nine months left until the planned nineteenth edition. However, we are already working very intensively on its planning, so today we can present another trio of confirmed artists who will perform in Prague next year on August 30-31st, 2024. But let's start at the beginning:

Firstly, we must say that we are fully aware of the limits Fuchs2 and Bike Jesus clubs have. Even so, the vast majority of visitors liked this location which is one of the main reasons why we will organize next year's PGT at the same place again. On behalf of the organizing team, we can already promise improvements in the most criticized areas. Of course, we also welcome any other suggestions you may have on how to make the venue as pleasant as possible.

As in previous years, we are preparing a new edition of merchandise for you. T-shirts, badges and other memorabilia will be introduced next year. We are also working on the accompanying programme and other details to give you another reason to return to Prague Gothic Treffen.

Now onto the music, which might interest you the most! A few weeks ago, we presented you with the first four names from the line-up of the XIX. Prague gothic treffen: Munich electronics Rue Oberkampf, post-punk band Raskolnikov, traditional German dark-wave In Mitra Medusa Inri and Italian-British electronic hellhounds Alien Vampires. So who are we adding now, you may ask!

The French duo Denuit consists of the married couple Lis Araignée and Ivi Topp. They transformed the echoes of Siouxsie and the sonically more contemporary Boy Harsher or Kompromat into their own night-wave genre, inspired by cyberpunk aesthetics and the dark poetry of E.A. Poe as well. Since their beginnings in 2019, the diligent tandem has already released three full-length albums and one EP, while the current collection called "Ritual", strongly supported by visually imaginative video clips, is reaping success on all fronts. This will be the duo's first performance in the Czech Republic.

Stockholm artist Emma Nylén created her electronic alter ego Emmon more than two decades ago. Meanwhile, she imprinted her distinctive synth/indie-pop on a decent line of albums and singles. However, her breakthrough moment was last year's record "Recon", on which Emmon breathed new life and which moved her more into harder, EBM-scented dance territory. Cold beats, punchy bass lines, unmistakable Nordic melodics and analogue sound remind us of the Agent Side Grinder's great performance at PGT this year, or perhaps the dispatch period of the Depeche Mode's album "Construction Time Again". A secret tip for all lovers of imaginative electronics!

Italy will also have their iron in the fire at the upcoming PGT. The quartet This Eternal Decay was only formed in 2018 but it's basically a Roman all-star formation of experienced musicians. Riccardo Sabetti (Spiral69), Pasquale Vico (Date at Midnight), Andrea Freda (Spiritual Front) and Alessio Schiavi (Avant-Garde) artfully combine dark-wave with industrial, but do not forget gothrock or synth-pop. Four released albums led by this year's excellent collection "ABSØLUTIØN", enthusiastic reviews of their concerts and the premiere concert in Prague. Do you need more?

You will have to wait till the beginning of the new year for the second half of the line-up reveal but we can already promise to introduce the first headliner by then. If you already know you will come to the next PGT, we recommend buying the tickets sooner rather than later, because last year the event was sold-out.

You can get the tickets now exclusively in the GoOut pre-sale network for 990 CZK / 40 E (+ network fees). This price will be valid until the end of this year, from January 1, 2024, you will pay CZK 1,150 (+ fees) for a pre-sale ticket. As in previous years, a ticket is valid for both days, one-day tickets will not be available.
